Our Volunteers are Ready to Help You!
We may not be professionals, but we have years of experience behind us.
Formed in 1978, we still have a few of our experienced Founders to lead us. Many have left us to be with their ancestors and talk among the stars. Fortunately, they passed on their torch of knowledge before going. Their legacy lives on in the information they helped compile and the wisdom they shared with the remaining volunteers.
We can search for the items you requested, and may even know where to find more information to help with your research.
Questions that can be answered in a few minutes, we may not request a fee. But, if the request will take hours, we will contact you first explaining the situation before going further. We may even request partial payment before starting.

Researching at our Library
We understand that feeling of excitement upon finding that elusive fact you were looking for!
We have had almost 50 years to accumulate information, not only about Adams County and the surrounding counties, and also books on areas that the large majority of our ancestors migrated from. One of our largest collections is our Family Files and Family Books, donated by the public or our members, over the years. Another large collection is local Obituaries, compiled by year.
